Does anyone have a manufacturer of small rolling stools that can be used in the following application. Placing labels onto boxed product that is already on a pallet. The stool is used to sit on and place labels on the boxes going all the way around the pallet and they are doing up to 30 pallets at a time. I know some of you will ask this so… we are not able to place the labels on the boxes upstream from this point. The stool they use now have a tendency to come out from under them and we are looking for a stool that keeps the weight/center of gravity lower than the top of the swivel casters. I have found a dolly that fits the bill but not a stool to set on./ http://www.theonlinecatalog.com/amjacksupply/store/Dollies/THEHUGGERSTEELDOLLIES Your thoughts are greatly appreciated. Eric

Eric, can you clarify this — you’re looking for a stool that has its seat pan located below the top of the wheels/casters, correct?

And the reason you’re looking for such a design is that it would provide a high degree of stability when the user is wheeling about the pallets, reaching, etc.? Are mobility and stability the primary goals for this device?

I’m trying to envision someone doing this task. Do they wheel around, using the current stool, applying labels only to the lower levels of the pallet, then walk around applying labels to the higher rows?

We had a similar situation once and the operators came up with their own solution…an old desk chair at the lowest height setting. You might check out the Kreepstool rolling chair. It looks to be the most stable of the rolling chairs offered.
